Vietnamese/Cambodian War
The Vietnamese/Cambodian War started when Vietnam invaded Cambodia in December 25, 1978. Vietnam captured the capital, Phnom Penh, in January 7, 1979. Cambodian guerrillas were pushed back to the border of Thailand. The Soviet Union was aiding Vietnam, while China, the USA, and Thailand supported Cambodia. The Chinese had an attempt to invade Hanoi, the Capital of Vietnam, but they withdrew after traveling twenty-five miles into Vietnam.
This is a picture of Phnom Penh. It is the capital of Cambodia, which was conquered during the Vietnamese/Cambodian War. After it was conquered, the only Cambodian army were guerrillas at the border of Thailand.
